Across various parts of the country, health department officials are asking restaurants to voluntarily pull CBD-infused foods and drinks off menus or else there could be fines and product embargoes. The FDA hasn’t really been clear about CBD rules in the foodservice industry— especially after the approved December 2018 Farm Bill legalized industrial hemp in the U.S.— so a public hearing has been scheduled for May 31 to discuss the matter.
